Always special spotting a butterfly on a sunny day. Their beautiful colours and gentle flight bring our countryside to life, while also playing an important role in supporting a healthy environment.
At Keat Farm Parks, caring for nature is part of everything we do. Across Quex Holiday Park in Birchington, Hawthorn Farm in Dover, Little Satmar in Folkestone, and our other park locations, we create habitats where butterflies and other wildlife can flourish.
This year, we’re proud to support the Butterfly Conservation Trust’s Big Butterfly Count 2026. This nationwide project encourages everyone to spend just 15 minutes counting butterflies, helping conservationists monitor species across the UK.
During your stay, you may spot colourful visitors including the Peacock, Red Admiral, Orange-tip, Painted Lady, Common Blue and many more. Every sighting is a reminder of how important these habitats are for local wildlife.
